Job Purpose:
To provide managerial oversight and execution of all
contractual projects ensuring that technical, schedule and cost requirements
are met to the customer’s and internal
managements satisfaction.
Duties:
- Responsible for
all Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing Activities. Shop personnel will take daily direction
from Shop Foreman, with the Foreman reporting to Operations Manager. All Engineering personnel and procurement
will be direct reports.
- Conduct kick
off meeting with President, Engineering, and Manufacturing to review job contract
requirements including technical scope, quality impacts, schedule, and cost
targets.
- Create Contract
Schedules to include all job scope and to ensure it can be worked in to
current shop flow. Update of schedules bi-monthly.
- Responsible for
weekly status reports of all projects to include engineering, procurement and
manufacturing progression for each job.
- Communication
of progress to customer twice a month or as required. Includes submitting schedule updates to
each customer with that communication.
- Weekly Tasking
to Shop Floor Personnel, Engineering, Procurement, and Foreman
- Review of Job Technical Content, including
researching specs, vendor selection, make or buy decisions.
- Approval of all shop expenses ensuring not to
exceed budgets
- Weekly review
of all purchase orders and part delivery
- Weekly review
of all engineering drawing trees and design specification /issues
- Facility Maintenance Activities
- Oversight for all shipping and receiving
activities
- Oversight of
all engineering and manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Responsible for
all service contracts including setting up service, assigning personnel,
customer contact and follow up.
- Performance
reviews once a year on all direct reports and oversight of shop personnel
reviews with shop foreman.
- Responsible for creating all documentation
required per contract and internal procedures for all shipments. This includes any testing, drawings,
shipping paperwork, or other specifications required to be documented prior
to shipment.
