Job Purpose:
Texas Machine-Tool
International, a manufacturer and rebuilder of machine tools is seeking a senior
level mechanical technician for an hourly position in Waco Texas. The
mechanical technician must have a minimum of 10 years experience working in a
manufacturing machining environment. Ability
to drive a forklift, perform heavy lifting, read blue prints, perform checks
of machine tolerances and working
knowledge of tools and equipment used in machine builds. Applicant needs to have their own tools and
toolbox. Some travel required. Experience with machine tools and industrial applications
are a must. AS9100 or ISO shop
experience preferred. Wage based on
education and experience.
Duties:
- Knowledge of component and multi axes
functionality of machine tools.
- Troubleshoot and makes repairs to CNC machine
tools and related production equipment.
- Installation of mechanical components
including ball screws, chucks, linear guides, shafts, motors, scales,
pneumatics, hydraulics, and lubrication systems, as well as performance
improving modifications to machines and related production equipment.
- Knowledge of painting and welding operations.
- Machine Fitting Experience
- Ability to train and mentor junior mechanical
apprentices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machine
tools and related production equipment.
- Work on special projects including moving
machines, and installing new or redesigned parts and systems to assembly
machines and related production equipment.
- Mechanical Assembly of custom machines based
on CAD designs.
- Document repairs and maintenance performed to
machinery and associated equipment, utilizing correct documentation
procedures
- Field Service Support – Troubleshooting
Machine Repairs and Maintenance if required.
- Machine Installation – Leading the job of
installing a machine at a customer’s facility.
